~ We are on a rate nationwide, as of June, to see 4.77 million homes sell. This is 8.8% below June of 2010.
~ Lawrence Yun, econimist states we are having an “uneven” recovery, and seeing problems with tight credit and low appraisals. This at a time when we are having record high housing affordability conditions (can buy much more house for the money now than a few years ago, or, the same house for a lot lower payment.
~ All-cash transactions accounted for 29% of sales in June – investors account for the bulk of these purchases.
~ In the Midwest – existing home sales are down 14% over a year ago. The median price in June was $147,700 – down 5.3% from June 2010.
